Hello Raphael! Tell us a little bit about your background?
I graduate in Industrial Design – Graphic Design. Mackenzie University.
My main area of interest is undoubtedly the illustration, wich I have passion to do and create! I like to use all types of media to express my creativity: canvas, wood, wall, paper, digital, skateboards etc …
Professional experience in on-line and off-line media. Art direction. Brand development (visual identity). Character creation. Development work for web, flash animations and presentations, creating web sites. Creation of illustrations, compositions for animation video (after effects), creating vignettes. Photography average experience.

How would you explain your style of illustration?
I think my work does not follow an unique style but i have many references of graffiti and skateboard. Nowadays I’m trying to create simple illustrations, with a cleaner finish. I’m working it… =)
The illustration “Poster Barbearia” is amazing! Tell us a little bit more about the creative process.
Thank you! To do this illustration references I used many pictures of old barber. Myintention was to look like a handmade illustration, as in the technique of using graffiti stencils, stains and badly finished areas.
Started with a lot of handmade drawings, after that using photoshop and artrage for the finish process.
This art was created for a studio project that I have with my friends, named Studio Hair Beard and Moustache http://www.barbacabelobigode.com.br


Tells us about your most special projects and the reason why it’s so important for you.
As I commented in the previous answer, now I have a project of a small collective offriends called hair beard mustache ( Barba Cabelo Bigode ). Our main goal is the creation of new and diferent projects, illustration, video and photography.
And of course always be designing and trying to learn new techniques, raise the level of illustration and design.

In which point do you think technology can help an artist?
Today, technology helps a lot in the lives of artists, designers or illustrators as well as in many other professions.
The runtime of the arts, the designer can now develop their work with much more speed and agility, meeting the small deadlines.
We can not compare with the beginning of our professional (designer), technology has come to help us a lot!

What programs do you use to create your illustrations?
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, ArtRage and Corel Painter.


Which draw was the most difficult to do?
Each work is always a challenge, and sometimes not even imagine how will be completion or termination. But once I did some work for an agency, an illustration for a big wall, five feet wide by three tall ….. It was a lot of work!
What would you tell for those who are starting in this area?
Always seek to innovate in their work! Do not ever stop and do not give up!!

Travis Millard (fudge factory comics), Wesley Burt, HelloFreaks, Frazzeta, Simon Bisley, Jeff Soto, Jim Philips, Jeremy Fish, James Jean, and many others.

Macbook Pro.
What is your favorite food?
Japanese and Arabian Food. Temaki and Falafel =D
What kind of music do you like?
The music also influences me much at the time I´m in the clipboard, I hear so much rock´n roll, alternative, progressive, Hardcore and Punk Rock! Sometimes classic music too.
Do you have any hobbies outside of art and computing?
Skateboarding and Surfing.

I have grow up in Portuguese country side, in between mountain and trees what I think had help me expand my imagination to further levels…

Savio Fonseca is a Art Director and illustrator, currently living and working in São Paulo at Wunderman.

I really have a couple of styles of working, my highly rendered work is more influenced by traditional fine art, then theres a more commercial side that is favoured by the editorial, publishing, fashion market.

I got involved with illustration four years ago. I’m self-taught, I have no degree (or anything close to it), nor any professional training.

I try to do whimsical and abstract drawings. I think my style is a mish mash of the ways that effort ends up coming across.

Jake Brewer is a South African designer & illustrator currently based in London.

I graduated in 2007 and I´ve been working with graphic and motion design since then.

I’m 24 years old. I was born in Santos, a small city in the coast of Brazil. I studied Multimidia Design at SENAC.

I took the Advertisement course at a University in Bauru. At my first year I started to understand what it was and to have a giant will to work for a agency.

I started working as a designer in 2005, developing good images, colors and tastes for pornographic market.

My name is Emma Geary aka Anarkitty. I am 30 years old and I live just outside of Belfast Northern Ireland. I have loved drawing since I was pretty young. Went to University and did a Ba(Hons) Degree in Art and design specialising in New Media.

Mopa is a graphic arts studio that believes in the good side of things. We share positive experiences and sensations in every project we design.

I’m 33 years old, I live in São Paulo with my wife Carla and for the past 6 years I’ve been working as an editorial and advertising illustrator for both national and international market.

I was born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. I am 30 years old. My family is basically composed by visual artists. I grew up in the middle of paints, drawings, lithography, paintings. But it was in college that came the interest of the art combining with more important concepts.

New York based Australian I am a self-taught artist who concentrated on learning the techniques that expressed his ideas and a unique vision. All the rest is superfluous.

Brazillian designer, living and working in Rio, married, fulltime freelancer (so far), like to laugh, open minded and a reeeeally nice dude.
