Tell us about your background?
When I was only 1 year old my father gave me a brush and some paper to start painting. I grew up a little and we started to do some collab work, dad and I. Something like drawing on napkins. Rad.

Then I grew up a little bit more. Now I’m 21 and I’m about to graduate at Advertising School. I’ve worked with the cutest people at ps.2 (no, it’s not the videogame) and now I’m having fun at dmtr.org.

Have you had artistic studies and was it useful for you?
Yes. I attended Art School when I was a kid. Nothing too big but it gave me a taste of what drawing will be like. I had the best time. I learnt a lot about materials and how to spill paint on my shirt on a cool way. It’was very nice cause when you’re a kid you don’t have to worry about any rules and regulations. You don’t have to think too much about what’s right or wrong, you have the feeling and you do it.

Kids have the best drawings.

How would you explain your style of illustration?
I try to make my stuff as simple as they can be. I like things to be a little surreal and smooth.
It’s sweet but no additional sugar. Low fat illustration.

What programs do you use to create your illustrations?
I’m a freehand addicted. I actually believe it does magic sometimes. I can’t live without it.

And when I ran out of electricity I get back to my sketchbooks cause I also love hand drawings.

What are your creation processes?
Good music and some candy around.
It all begins with black & white and a hairline stroke.
