Tell us about your background?
I grew up in Reno, Nevada.
My family are ranchers. I’m the only artist.
I studied painting at Parson’s in Paris and also spent some time in NYC.
I love California. The art scene here is having a renaissance.
What inspires you?
Pinups from the 40’s. Movies from the 30’s. Fashion from every era.
Lp’s and album art. I like the colors and graphic ideas that were occurring
in Los Angeles from 1979 to 1984.
What are you able to do for a photo?
I like to capture a vibe - a mood - can you feel it?
Also, I’m more of a painter.

What is the material you are using?
Canon 10-D and photoshop on my G-4.
What are the moments you like to size?
I want to capture the perfect pop culture image.
Your favorite artists?
Henri Rousseau, Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, Gustav Klimt, Aubrey Beardsley,Robert Smith, John Heartfield, Marcel Duchamp, Kate Bush, Alexander Calder, Gustave Moreau, Odilon RedonJoni Mitchell, The Cocteau Twins.

The nicest exhibition you have seen?
Self Portrait photography from 1840’s-1980’s at the National Portrait Gallery in London.
Diamanda Galás performing her song series “La Serpenta Canta” at the knitting factory in Hollywood.
The nicest moment in your life? Have you photos of it?
nope… I love my work… but my best moments i’m too involved with to take photos.
