Brief Resume
I’ve been addicted to drawing and art since childhood. the idea of being able to extract my thoughts and visions onto paper, simply had me hooked. which progressed into digital illustration and the study of color (millions of them), shortly after getting my first computer in 94. i later dropped out of high-school in 96 for various reasons, but most of all, to have more “hands on” time and experience with what i wanted to be when i “grew up”. in 97, my career jump started as an illustrator and due to job requirements, quickly shifted towards graphic design for web and print media. im currently part owner / senior graphic designer for load.com, designing corporate style interfaces for our web-based applications. aside from work, i enjoy expressing myself through many different and balancing forms of art. from traditional to digital based mediums, to musical and even the most physical aspect of self-expression, body dynamics or dance. my approach and creative process is very spontaneous, which keep things fresh. im free of style, although greatly influenced by it. i believe being open to change can only help you grow as an artist and spirit.

Projects
Hard to say what projects are actually in the works. some of them are still floating around in my head like toys in a glass box, awaiting the claw. i do have plans for my other two domains, knoxel.com and visualemotion.com. just not sure when i’ll get around to them.

Inspiration
Like a sponge, i soak up inspiration from everything in life. from the most subtle to the most extreme of nature. alot of my inspiration comes to me spiritually as well. through dreams, night and day. my fiance, artist and photographer inspires me in several ways, along with her love and support. my parents, two spiritual and creative nuts, also greatly contributed to the creative drive i possess today. there are so many other artists as well, offline and online, who have and continue to inject my veins with this ‘perfect drug’. and of course we cant forget inspiring sites like this one and many others who give artists the opportunity to come out and play. i believe exposure can only be a good thing, especially if infused with a positive vibe.

I really have a couple of styles of working, my highly rendered work is more influenced by traditional fine art, then theres a more commercial side that is favoured by the editorial, publishing, fashion market.

I got involved with illustration four years ago. I’m self-taught, I have no degree (or anything close to it), nor any professional training.

I try to do whimsical and abstract drawings. I think my style is a mish mash of the ways that effort ends up coming across.
