Computer Technology Supporter, Designer | Finland

Brief Resume
I might not fit in to the normal designer standard.
Of course when I was a kid I did draw a lot like all kids does but then when I got a bit older I stopped.
I did get inspired of graphics and web design when I was around 16 years old
and started to study media.
I studied video, photo and graphic/web design for 3 years, but I got most
inspired by graphic/web design.
It’s only on the later days I started to really get interested in photography.
So now I am a media assistant working as a computer technology supporter and a freelance designer in the evenings and weekends.
I’ve now been asked to teach the basics of web design at schools but not sure if I have the spare time for that.
So we’ll see what happens.

Projects
Not sure if you can call it a project but I’m trying to get as much work as possible to show when I’m trying to get in to Hyper Island (http://www.hyperisland.se).
It’s a school in Sweden focused in web design.
To be able to study at Hyper Island has been little dream I have had for the
last 2-3 years.

Then I do have some client work waiting for me at home.

And future plans/projects is maybe to have my own little web design agency with a couple of friends.
But if someone wants a partner for a fun project I’m always interested.
Love working with other people and sharing thoughts about things.

Thinking about making some more own designed clothes.
I think clothes that are done by yourself has so much more value than buying some really expensive clothes from the store.

Inspiration
I think it’s impossible to say this is what I get my inspiration of.
Because I get it from everything, movies, posters, photographs, music and so on…
But when it comes to art that I like then I have to admit that I’m pretty much in love with Swedish web art.
I love the simplicity and the perfect color combinations.

I really have a couple of styles of working, my highly rendered work is more influenced by traditional fine art, then theres a more commercial side that is favoured by the editorial, publishing, fashion market.

I got involved with illustration four years ago. I’m self-taught, I have no degree (or anything close to it), nor any professional training.

I try to do whimsical and abstract drawings. I think my style is a mish mash of the ways that effort ends up coming across.
