Brief Resume
I’ve always liked art. Especially when the colour monitor started to live! At school, I was always drawing when the other students were taking notes. So, I took a B.A. in communication / multimedia profile at the University of Quebec in Montreal, and met a teacher there, Jean-François Renaud, who teach me how to elaborate my concepts and to find my own style. Thanks to him. After graduating, I was freelancer for a couple of months, and then find a full-time job. For the last two years, I create DVD’s interfaces, where I can develop my motion skills. I’ve also started my own website, and worked on abstracts and experimental projects for my own pleasure.

Projects
Most of my recent projects have been DVD’s interfaces for films because it’s what I do in my full-time job. But in the past, I made some websites, especially in the television and cinematographic industry in Montreal, Canada. Most of my time, I enjoy working on experimental design and still learning a couple of software. I am planning to redesign my website but I’m still elaborating on a strong concept at the moment. And finally, as usual, I always take pictures with my cameras for the simple pleasure.

Inspiration
Everything my eyes see. Every interpretation I make from objects, images and dreams. Everything I read and listen. I like things simple or really complex. I really like those design that you don’t understand, but fall in love in a second. I also enjoy architecture and industrial design. Curiously, I also get inspirations from what I dislike! Because I think that knowing the reason why you don’t like something can bring you strong ideas.

I really have a couple of styles of working, my highly rendered work is more influenced by traditional fine art, then theres a more commercial side that is favoured by the editorial, publishing, fashion market.

I got involved with illustration four years ago. I’m self-taught, I have no degree (or anything close to it), nor any professional training.

I try to do whimsical and abstract drawings. I think my style is a mish mash of the ways that effort ends up coming across.
