I’m 30 years old and I live in São Paulo, Brazil. I’m an interface developer, working mostly with the Flash platform: basically, I receive some art done by an art director or a designer and then make it work on the browser.

Gringo was formed in early 2005 out of a common wish of my partner Fernanda and I of creating an agency that would be different form all that was around in Brazil. Much smaller, more dynamic, and with focus on very impactful mini-sites, usually some form of advertainment.
When I was 13 years old I had this crazy idea about buying a HTML book, after reading it i started my just with simple stuff, then I wanted more, I wanted to learn Photoshop so there I was buying another book but now a photoshop one, since then I created myself into this wonderful world of culture.

Like most of designers, I started drawing when i was children. Then I find myself in Graphic Design Department in college. I hated it and started to fulltime work life. I hated it that too and I started to freelance work life. I worked as freelancer for 4-5 years.
I was born in São Paulo city, then I moved to the countryside of the state, where things are calmer and more personal. There I grew up and graduated.
For 4 years now I’m being part of this biginternational advertising agency as an art director.
Two years ago I come up with Noper as an alternative creative life to my daily job…a life in which I’m free of thinking and doing whatever I, the NOPER, like… and soon Noper will open an animation studio.
For two years I have worked with the designer and graphic artist Fred Qora (cf portrait) with whom I created Qora Shai. We are able to work both together, utilizing our combined talents (illustration, graphic arts, design, music) and also individually on particular projects.
When I was only 1 year old my father gave me a brush and some paper to start painting. I grew up a little and we started to do some collab work, dad and I. Something like drawing on napkins.
I studied painting at Parson’s in Paris and also spent some time in NYC.
